How can I connect my Toshiba laptop to my television to watch online TV?

I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows XP. I would like to connect it to my television to watch programs. How can I do this? Is there a simple set of cables I can purchase?

1. You can hook your laptop up to your television with an S-video cable. This allows you to see what would normally be on your laptop screen, on your television screen.
2. In order to watch TV programs on your laptop, you will need to use an on-line TV provider, or buy an accessory TV tuner, which will need to be connected to a TV antenna or cable.
