Is it possible to watch tv online?

I doubt this is possible, but is there any websites on the computer where you can watch any tv channel of your choice without paying or anything. I doubt it since people would be getting away with watching tv for free, but I just was thinking of how cool it would be if I could do this. I've always wanted a tv in my room, but if there was such a website, than I could just watch tv on my laptop and even watch channels that I usually don't get. Is there anything like that or similar at all?

not live tv. but hulu.com has episodes/sitcoms and all of that on there, for free
i dont know but i know you can look up shows and watch full episodes. try google
Some TV networks will provide selective repeats of shows but I don't know of anyone that provides full programming. Best you could do would be to be a TV turner card for your computer, hook it up to the cable or satellite and use that.
...well 4od is the website for channel 4 that you can download on your laptop and watch all your favourite channel 4 shows after they have been shown on actual telly!!
you can watch online, but what you can do is buy a tv card where you pay about £50 and watch tv online and you can record things so basically like a mini sky plus oh and that £50 is forever so just £50 for as long as you like and you get all basic 5 channels plus 12 extra freeview ones but this depends on which country you are in...i am relating to England but if in America it is still possible just with (probably) your leading tv company
I usually go to surfthechannel.net and they update them pretty quickly to get shows from the past 24 hours. Other then that you could get a tv tuner installed on your pc/laptop and get a live feed from a website. uraddicted.blogspot.com
Yes, you can purchase a cable cord and connect to any outlet and watch live tv. Also, you do have the option of going to YOUTUBE.COM and watch cool stuff pre-recorded as well!
