I live in Dublin, Ireland and have recently moved into a new apartment. We currently dont have any television signal and none of the cable companies can hook me up. At this stage i'm getting a wee bit fed up so I am looking into downloading some kind of software so I can watch tv on my laptop / pc instead. Any ideas??

Sadly it depends what channel you want to watch as they all use there own. I have about four different pieces of software 4OD is the only one worth the effort and BBC and itv should just run using iexplorer. The most common form of access although of questionable morality is to torrent or use a shareing server such as rapidshare. While this in breach of copyright law its no worse than some of the internet tv sites out there so becareful what you sign up for
