How do I watch TV online in china?

what sites can you use to watch TV episodes for free in shanghai? i want to watch some american tv (it's always sunny, house, etc) but the network sites won't allow me to watch in this region. thanks!

1. Unfortunately, Hulu.com does not offer its free TV service outside of the United States. You can't even watch it in Canada. There used to be a lot of American TV episodes on the Chinese file sharing services (Youku, Tudou), but most were taken down during the last 6 months due to "intellectual property" and "copyright infringement" issues. Youtube is blocked in China, so no help there. Your best bets are: A) Buy pirated DVDs in China of your favorite shows (5 to 10 yuan per disc) and watch that way. B) Install satellite TV (costs about 1500 yuan for the HK package)
2. US TV are popular among university students, you can use P2P to download it. There are a lot of ftp sites provided these.
3. Try watchxonline.com it's a bit slow but if you have good broadband speed and patience it might be worth a chance.
4. I'm in China now. I use BIT TORRENTS I down load the show and watch them when I want to. Also it allows me to have an awesome collection of TV show. I also have downloaded 600 Movies. I use http://www.vuze.com/ You have to download the program and install it. You will have to play with the preferences of VUZE. Torrents are when people share files. The more people who share the faster the download. Some shows are faster and some are slower. Depends on how many are sharing and downloading. Most files are AVI files. You should have a program to run that. I use VLC http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ It a great Video player. So that's it! I do not even watch TV in CHINA. Good luck
